...Finding Shelter in God's Own Heart

The HillGA Mother and Child Initiative is a noble endeavor that operates as a non-governmental organization under the auspices of the Hill of God Global Assembly. The initiative was established with a deep-seated desire to reach out to single mothers, widows, and their children who are facing various challenges in life. With the aim of providing a helping hand, this initiative seeks to make a positive impact in the lives of those who are struggling and in need of support.

Through its programs and activities, the HillGA Mother and Child Initiative has continued to create an environment where these individuals can thrive, grow and achieve their full potential. By extending empathy, compassion, and practical assistance to those who need it most. Being a single mother or a widow is not easy. These women often have to juggle multiple responsibilities, including taking care of children, managing finances, and maintaining a job. The challenges they face can be overwhelming. Hence, the HillGA Mother and Child Initiative seeks to address the unique needs of single mothers and widows by offering facilities and resources to help them through difficult times. The initiative focuses on three key areas: education, empowerment, and emotional support. These areas are crucial for single mothers and widows as they work to overcome their challenges in building a stable future for themselves and their families.

Education

Education is the foundation of a successful future, and the HillGA Mother and Child Initiative recognizes this as we advance opportunities that help single mothers, widows and their children earn degrees or certificates, learn job skills or acquire training to improve their earning potential. The program also provides assistance in finding scholarships and grants, making it easier for them to access education without putting undue financial strain on their families.

Empowerment

Empowerment is another essential aspect of financial stability. The HillGA Mother and Child Initiative recognizes this and offers assistance in sourcing suitable empowerment and employment options. The program not only helps with empowerment opportunities and job search but also provides training and interview skills to help and equip these women access the opportunities they desire and effectively utilize them.

The initiative also works with employers to find positions that are flexible and accommodating to the needs of single mothers, widows and their children ensuring that they can maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Emotional Support

The loss of a partner or the struggles of being a single parent can take a significant toll on anyone’s emotional wellbeing. The HillGA Mother and Child Initiative is mindful of this and has continued to promote emotional support system to help these women cope with difficult situations. The program provides counseling services, support groups and access to mental health resources to ensure that these women can receive the help they need to maintain their emotional stability.

By focusing on education, empowerment and emotional support, this initiative offers a comprehensive approach to helping these women build a brighter future for themselves and their families. It is a much-needed resource that has the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of those it serves.

Deuteronomy 24:20
When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

Deuteronomy 10:18
He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

"In the communication of God's blessing and riches to His people, there's a demand for an allocation which we must deliberately budget to welfare the interest of widows, strangers, fatherless and the needy. This is not a suggestion from God, it's a commandment"
